A little bit about me ...
I am a native New Yorker (go Yankees!) but have spent the majority of my life outside the Empire state. I studied Biomedical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, MO and then spent one year pursuing a doctorate in Neuroengineering at the University of California at Los Angeles. After I realizing that did not want to spend my life hovering over microscopes and studying the auditory system of frogs (exciting, I know), I spent the next three years working as an aquatics director, swim instructor, lifeguard, nanny, management consultant, real estate assistant, and many other jobs I cannot remember. Always a late bloomer, I decided to go back to school for education since my favorite part of all of my jobs was helping people learn. I worked for eight years at the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School in Cambridge, MA as a mathematics teacher and, eventually, Instructional Support Coach. I am currently a School Leadership Resident at the High Tech High Graduate School of Education in San Diego, CA.
